WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that implants pigment underneath the surface of the skin using a unique hand tool with a row of micro sterile, disposable needles that form a blade shape which will produce the appearance of hair where there isn't any, or add more to enhance and create fullness where hair already exists. This is with a manual hand tool, not a machine. Microblading works best for normal to dry skin and is not recommended for oily skin (as the oil will cause the hair-strokes to heal with a diffused look and fade).

WHAT ARE OMBRE POWDER BROWS?

Ombre powder brows are the newest semi-permanent brow technique using an advanced tattooing machine that implements pixelated dots onto the surface of the skin, it is minimally invasive and buildable. This technique provides a soft powdery look and can accomplish any variation that you are looking for, whether it be soft and subtle or crisp and defined, always having a soft faded front with more color towards the tail. This technique is best for all skin types, but especially those with previous semi-permanent makeup, and oily, mature, and acne prone skin.

IS THERE A WAY THAT I CAN DO BOTH TECHNIQUES?

Yes, you can do either Micro-Shading (Microblading at the inner corners of the brow and Ombre Powder at the tail) or Combo Brows (Microblading the entire brow and finishing it off with Ombre Powder on top to give it more dimension).

I HAVE OILY SKIN, WHAT’S THE BEST SERVICE FOR ME?

Either Ombre Powder or Micro-Shading. Microblading the entire brow doesn’t heal as well with oily skin because the oils in the skin cause the strokes to heal more diffused and fades faster than other skin types.

DOES IT HURT?

A topical anesthetic cream and gel are used for numbing before and during your procedure. Pain levels vary from person to person and all efforts are made to make sure that you are comfortable during the entire procedure. Many clients are relaxed during the entire process and say that it does not hurt at all. However, please note that you are more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

I ALREADY HAVE FULL BROWS DO I NEED MY BROWS ENHANCED?

Almost everyone always needs their brows enhanced somehow. One of the techniques can create ease for your everyday lifestyle and before every procedure we do brow mapping which ensures that your brows are as balanced as possible. Many people have one brow that’s higher than the other or one brow that’s fuller than the other, so these techniques can help balance out your already full brows.

HOW LONG IS THE HEALING PROCESS?

The healing process takes about 7-10 days, however, the entire brow process takes about 3-4 weeks for your new eyebrow tattoo to shed completely and the pigment to surface to its true color. Please note that there are many factors to the healing process and every person will retain the color differently. To maximize results, it is important to follow the proper after care instructions. Please see after care section on how to properly care for your brows.

WHAT ARE SOME FACTORS THAT MIGHT RESTRICT ME FROM GETTING BROW SERVICES?

If you do not properly heal within 7-10 business days you are not an ideal candidate for Microblading or Ombre Powder Brows. Along with that, if you have any of the following:

  • Epilepsy

  • Diabetes

  • On chemotherapy

  • Autoimmune diseases

  • Major heart problems

  • Viral infections/diseases

  • Allergy to Lidocaine, Tetracaine or Epinephrine

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding

  • On Accutane

  • Psoriasis, rash or sunburn on or around the eyebrow area

  • Previous permanent cosmetic tattoos

MY BROWS LOOK REALLY DARK, WILL IT BE LIKE THIS PERMANENTLY?

Your brows will get darker the next day but then from there on will get lighter as it scabs, peels and heals. It usually gets about 20% lighter than the initial procedure shade. You can tell what the true shade will be at about the 3-4 week mark.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

The service will take about 2-3 hours. The first 20 minutes of the appointment are to map the shape of the brows and then 30 minutes after that are to anesthetize the area for comfort.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Microblading is semi-permanent and will fade over time. To maximize results it is important to schedule a touch up session 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to touch up and areas that didn’t take. After the 2nd treatment the brows should last about 18-24 months, depending on skin type and lifestyle. An annual color boost is recommended thereafter to keep shape and desired color.
